Diagnosed illness Crohn's disease

Clinical information Crohn's disease is a chronic, non–specific intestinal inflammatory disorder. The disease may affect the entire digestive system. In 25-30% changes appear only in the small intestine (mostly in the terminal ileum), whereas in 30% in large intestine. In the remaining 40-55% both small and large intestine are affected. There is a link between Crohn's disease and NOD2 mutation, and it is also possible that other mutations have impact onto the progress of the disease.
