Clinical information Atopic dermatitis is a common disorder with a genetic component. Symptoms usually involve susceptibility to allergy of any type, with severe skin affectation. In most cases the symptoms appear around 5 years of age and comprise skin irritation, itchiness, dry skin and peeling. Atopic skin inflammatory disease is often accompanied with asthma.
