Analysis description Comparative genomic hybridization (CGH) or Chromosomal Microarray Analysis (CMA) is a molecular-cytogenetic method that measures DNA copy number variations (gains/losses) between a test and reference genome. CGH detects unbalanced chromosomal changes (duplications and deletions). Structural chromosomal aberrations such as balanced reciprocal translocations or inversions cannot be detected, as they do not change the copy number. CGM GENESIS uses the clinical microarrays 135k Roche-NimbleGen CGX that allow for the analysis of over 200 cytogenetic regions and 675 genes of high functional importance.
